About Us

The Greymouth Kip McGrath Education Centre has been running on the South Island’s West Coast for over 8 years. The centre is owned and operated by Karen Hamilton, an experienced trained primary school teacher.

Karen is actively involved in the West Coast community and is currently in her second term as a Grey District Councillor. She is married to Rob and they have two young sons.

 

Our Educational Team

Karen and her team of trained teachers at the Greymouth Kip McGrath centre have worked in schools on the West Coast and elsewhere for many years. Their skills and experience help them to work with each child and assist them to reach their potential.

The teaching team is able to assist students with many learning needs from those needing extra Maths or English tutoring to students wanting to push themselves a little harder. All of the Centre’s teachers are fully qualified.

Our Teaching Philosophy

The Greymouth Kip McGrath Education Centre provides a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes each child’s self-esteem and confidence and helps them achieve their personal best. We aim to make learning fun!
